Do you sell vintage toys? and/or Vintage Toys versus Contemporary Toys - which sell better or have the best profit margin? My experience has been Vintage but could use some advice on where to buy at a profit making price!

I am just starting out, with little money to invest in products. I have an eBay store for my art. I also have a new eBay ID, to sell other things. How do I get started with little money to invest? Thank you

Questions about selling toys on eBay:

    1. What toys should be definitely avoided … besides homemade ones?

    2. Is she available to answer questions via email about specific toys?

    3. Is there a list available of “eager” collectors that WANT to be contacted first before submissions are made to eBay?

  6. Peggy says:

Would like to know what categories are the best when listing toys. And, do you feel that people usually buy new toys over used toys?

  10. Kim says:

How does one know if a specific type of toy would be sell able?
Does the toys must be new or does that part matter?
I had found some toys from my youth and that is what I am wondering
about the age of the toys.

  11. I’m still trying to find a reputable below wholesale source online - be it for toys, which, frankly, I never considered, or for electronics, or exercise equipment, even jewelry.

Trouble is, after finding what I think is a hot product to sell, and comparing its actual sales price on past auctions, the wholesaler’s (so far, all that I’ve looked into) lowest price is usually slightly higher that the price at which the power sellers sold dozens of the same item.

My question is, how are power seller able to undersell, and by a nice marging, the so called wholesale sources? What, do they magically sneak into their basements at night and manufacture big ticket items? Or, since they have the bucks, do they buy in bulk and save the stuff - again in their cellars?

  12. Dyanne says:

Where do I get thes toys from in the UK.How do I find distributers/warehouses in the Midlands, UK

  13. Sergi says:

I would like to know the main three sources of information to know what sells best in ebay? Are there any reports? Any website? Any magazine? Where does he get the information? Thanks.

  14. My son has loads of toys to sell, but some are missing bits and pieces e.g. his Beyblades, Lego, Power Rangers, Cubix etc.

Can we still sell “bits n pieces” and what is the best strategy to use to get the best price possible for him? He wants to buy something else with all the money he raises!!!!!!
